Set it and forget it

Once you set up AdSense it's maintenance-free, as I found on my site at http://www.eTIP.ca. Just set it and forget it.

I'm not saying that you won't spend oodles of time tweaking your site to maximize your AdSense revenue, but that's up to you.

The truth is you can set up a multitude of sites using templates with the AdSense code embedded in them, and let the income roll in. (At least, that's what the guys who sell these templates say.)

The point is that adding AdSense to your site does not require ongoing maintenance.

So the third criterion for an AdSense alternative is that it must be maintenance-free.

It has to be free

Another thing I like about AdSense is that it's free.
I didn't have to buy anything, pay a monthly fee, or cough up dough in any way to use it. All I had to do was register, and wait to be approved.

Once that happened, and I added the AdSense code to http://www.eTIP.ca pages, Google did all the rest, and I started to receive monthly cheques.

AdSense is the benchmark that all other passive income-producers should measured against.

So the second criterion of any AdSense alternative is that it must be free.

I'm lazy!

What I like about AdSense is that it's easy to use.

I didn't have to do much other than add some code to http://www.eTIP.ca, and it did the rest. Google figured out which ads were best for each page of my site, collected the ad fees, and mailed me my share.

AdSense is an easy-to-use passive income-producer.

Of course to get a good income I had to do some search-engine optimization, but I'd have to do that anyway to attract more potential subscribers to my site.

So the first criterion of an AdSense alternative is that it must be easy to use.

I'm enjoying my AdSense-free life!

Realized I accumulated a whole lot of AdSense stuff since I started that dance.

Was looking over it this morning and realized I no longer have to read any of those ebooks, or open up those emails promising me all kinds of wonderful ways to make more money from it.

There's a whole lot more stuff I no longer have to do.

Got a comment referring to those "unlucky enough to be banned by Google".

Right now, I'm feeling lucky!

How to Resurrect Your Google AdSense Account

I just read a great story about a guy whose website got dumped by AdSense for reasons he was not sure of, and how he was able to get back in Google's good graces to earn AdSense income again.

The title of his story, "'How to Bring Google AdSense Down' Or 'You are Guilty but We Will Not Tell You Why' and 'How to Resurrect Your Google AdSense Account'" says it all at:

Here's a Forum with some answers

Googled "After-AdSense" today, and found most of the sites listed were about "Life After AdSense"---two ebooks about a new idea.

One site I found that could be useful is a Forum with answers to the question "What would the 2nd best PPC after adsense?"

Read them here

After denial, relief!

Sure, I was upset. And felt wronged.

Then, amazingly, I felt relieved!

Suddenly I didn't have to think about AdSense anymore. Or read about Google's new rules. Or try to tune each page of www.eTIP.ca to maximize my AdSense revenue. Or consider other schemes to make scads of money from it.

I had been spending too much of my time on it, and could spare none for anything else. And the returns were so meager!

But it's so damned addictive.

Am I anti-AdSense?

No. I think it's great as a supplementary source of unreliable income.

Just don't depend on it.
